It’s week 3 of the Biggest Loser Completely Bare.  Over the past weekend, Amanda was in Miami visiting friends from college.  Vacation always poses a challenge to any diet and workout routine.  You want to relax and enjoy yourself, but you don’t want to set yourself back so much that you come home feeling depressed.   Amanda told me her biggest challenge was drinking.  The empty calories in alcohol pack a serious punch to your waistline, but it something that’s hard to abstain from when you’re visiting college friends in party-central Miami.  She also pointed out that when you’re away from your every day surroundings, you’re reliant on what’s available to you.  Finding low-carb high protein meals can be like finding an acceptable outfit in a beachside souvenir shop.  Bottom line: allow yourself room to have fun.  Indulge a bit- just don’t go overboard.  An awesome tip from my friends at Exhale Spa:  try snacking on fresh fruit and nuts throughout the day, this way, you can cheat a bit at dinner with out blowing all your hard work!
