Mo’Nique’s less-than-thorough grooming at the Golden Globes recently. Please … Did you catch a glimpse of the leg hair she was flashing underneath that gorgeous gown? We were all SHOCKED or should I say appalled.
Mo’Nique is really having a moment right now, and I’m so thrilled she’s getting the recognition she deserves. She truly is a star, but my question is—WHY not look the part? We spent all evening trying to come up with a rational explanation why she might neglect such a basic ritual on a night that’s all about her.
A bad experience with a razor? Come on, we’ve all been there—that’s no excuse. Waxing hurts too much? No one said beauty was painless, honey. Is she such a major star now that her people won’t tell her she’s not red carpet-ready? You always need someone to be honest with you at the end of the day. Maybe her man likes her au natural? Not on award night.
Having been in the industry for this long, I can tell she does something about her facial hair—why doesn’t she extend the courtesy to her legs? I shudder to think what she looks like down there. . .Do we dare to imagine ? No way …
I MUST know what she was thinking, I am obsessed! Chime in if you have any brilliant insights.
I can’t wait to see what she does come Oscar season. . . What will she wear? Will a stylist or REAL FRIEND set her straight? Will she bare some smooth skin? Or keep flaunting that hair? Monique, if you’re listening, I’m here to help!

“WOW” is all I have to say!

Last week, Completely Bare spa hosted DJ Pauly D and Mike the “Situation” from MTV’s Jersey Shore for an Access Hollywood segment and OMG we had the BEST TIME EVER! These guys were a blast to be around while we pampered them with laser hair removal (because obviously they are hair-free to show off those muscles!), completely bare BBL pulse light facials for sun damage (too many times in the tanning salon beds guys – BOOO!!), and last but not least the “ST” as in our completely bare sculpted spray tan (DEF more safe than those UV rays :-)

This was the first time that both Mike and Pauly D were ever in a spa receiving these treatments so they were stoked to take advantage of relaxing while “working”.

The Situation and DJ Pauly D were a blast to be around and we thank them, MTV and Access Hollywood for such a fun day just hanging out at completely bare! (Hopefully this won’t be the last time we’re seeing them!!)

I asked one of my CB girls, Teresa, to share her experience with spray tanning and why she goes with The Sculpted Tan at Completely Bare. This is what she wrote back and I wanted to share it with you guys:

I used to be the most die hard “fake and baker” there was. I loved the tanning booth, and no amount of warnings would keep us apart. It was real and it was deep. The breakup was hard. I cried. I pleaded. I begged. Pale and pasty is not cute, so the only thing to do was to try our spray tanning at Completely Bare. I have to say, I was impressed. I didn’t have to wait a week to build up my tan. I was immediately golden and sun kissed. No longer was I walking the line between Gisele and Umpa Loompa (one thing different about our tan is that there is no orange in it at all). The best way to achieve the perfect tan: schedule your appointment the night before a big event. You can’t shower or sweat for about 12 hours, so come in after work (preferably in your pajamas – we wont judge), go home, relax, and go to bed. After your morning shower, you’ll look like you spent a weekend in St. Barts (which, of course as far as everyone knows, you did). Try it. Trust me. You’re 60 year old future skin will thank you.
