When I opened completely bare, I answered a need that plagued New Yorkers: permanent hair reduction, done in a chic setting by the experts in the industry.  I know, however, all you ladies in blog land might not be able to make it to CB to meet your hair removal needs. That’s why I’m providing some helpful tips and questions to ask when choosing an effective professional hair removal spa near you:

  1. Always ask if everyone at the spa have received treatments themselves. This includes the person that has answered the phone. You wouldn’t eat at a restaurant where the waiters haven’t tried the food.
  2. Ask how the treatment worked for them. Everyone is different and will respond to treatment differently. This may give you a good indication of how the process varies for each person.
  3. How long have they been in business, and how many locations do they have?
  4. Do they offer a complimentary test patch? You need to know how the treatment feels before you commit to it.
  5. Also ask how many laser services they perform per day. The more they do, they more experienced they are with different skin types. I like to use and example that everyone can relate to: when you get your hair done, each blow dryer is pretty much the same wherever you go. The difference is, one stylist has the talent and experience to give you a better blow out than the next.

Don’t ever feel like you’re asking too many questions. A service as personal as this is all about your comfort level.

Hi Karin,

Thank you so much for asking! I definitely do recommend the Bikini Bump Blaster to help eliminate ingrown hairs. They work like a charm! You use them once a day, every day, and should notice a difference after using them for about a week or so. But Karin, nothing, and I mean, NOTHING works as well as laser hair removal. In fact, it’s why I created completely bare! I have very thick, coarse hair, and nothing seemed to work for me. I lived a life with horrible ingrown hairs, the type that are actually painful. Now that I have had my bikini line lasered, I am 100% ingrown FREE, ALL OF THE TIME!!!

Why don’t you contact one of the completely bare spas, and set up a complimentary consultation? This way you can get all the facts, and see if it’s an option for you. In the meantime, I do, however recommend our BBB. Just go to our website and order it online!

Have a great day, Karin!

Love, Cindy

Hi Grace,

Thank you for writing!

This is such a common concern: the pain factor!! Well, truth be told, the laser doesn’t tickle. At cb, your comfort and safety is our priority. We do not use any numbing creams or gels during laser treatments. We use a very, very cold gel that helps to ease any discomfort you may experience.

Why don’t you do this, Grace, come to one of our spas for a complimentary consultation and test patch. This way you can speak one on one with a technician, have your questions addressed, and experience firsthand the “cb approach” to laser hair removal. Who knows, maybe your pain tolerance has increased over the years!

Have a great day!

Love, Cindy

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for writing!

So, yes, the pricing does vary based on the body part you are lasering. At completely bare, we offer package prices for each body part, and a package includes six sessions (which is a standard minimum for each client), however, we only ask that you pay for five of those sessions! We give you one complimentary!!

Now, as for the hair length, no, you do not have to fully grown the hair in, just leave enough length on the hair that the technician can analyze the type of hair (color, texture, etc.) we will be treating.

If you have any other questions, I suggest that you call one of my spas and set up a complimentary consultation, where all of your questions can be personally answered for you!

Thank you again for writing, Kelly, and have a wonderful day!

Sincerely,

Cindy
