No, your eyes weren’t playing tricks on you, completely bare was on The City.  I posted earlier that this year, instead of a typical Christmas party, we decided to host a charity event benefiting New York Cares.  What I didn’t tell you was that it was being filmed for the show.  When we were still in the planning stages, Olivia, one of the stars and a good friend, suggested we have it taped for an episode of The City in order to raise more money for the charity.  I jumped at the opportunity.  It was insanely fun, and a great opportunity to bring awareness to a great cause.  Check out the clip below:

To some, the end of summer is realized by Labor day weekend or by the sighting of school busses.  To me, it’s fashion week.  Every August, I know summer is coming to a close when I walk by Bryant Park and see the tents being built.  I know that in a few short weeks there will be a frenzy of models, designers and socialites zipping in to see, ironically, what will be hot next summer.

At completely bare, we are busy with calls from editors and models desperate to be smooth and hairless.  It is my favorite time of year.  I know fall is coming, with its crisp days, and golden leaves. The lazy days of summer are over.  So as I prepare for a seemingly endless week of parties and fashion shows, there is one thing troubling me.  How do we fashionistas dress at this time of the year?

The temperatures are still in the scorching 90s, but the calendar says September.  I’m desperate to wear all the new fall fashions I see in the store windows, but its still so hot out.  Do you guys have any advice for me?

There is innocence left in New York. Today, while coordinating at our downtown location, I assisted the sweetest girl getting a completely bare wax for the first time. In fact, she was getting waxed in general for the first time. She was terrified; not only about the pain, but about how she would “look” to her technician. This is a concern I hear a lot. I assure all of you, our technicians do this all day long; they’ve seen it all. They would never judge or make fun of anyone they are performing a service on. As far as the pain goes, I have to say it’s not too bad. I’ve been getting waxed for years, and CB is truly the least painful. We also have the “relax” wax, which involves a numbing cream applied to the area about 15 minutes prior to your appointment. It really takes the edge off. If you’re still concerned, I usually tell clients to take some Advil before you come in.

I also know some of you wax virgins out there are concerned about the actual process of waxing. I’m going to take you through it so there are no surprises. Once you get into the treatment room, you will take everything off from the waist down, and will be given a pair of disposable panties. Your technician will position you to be able to give you the best, most thorough wax. Don’t be shy! The position may seem awkward to you, but I assure you, everyone goes through the same thing. After your service, you technician will leave you to dress, and you will walk out with a smile on your face!
Are there any other question you guys have about waxing?

Hey guys! It’s Teresa, one of the CB girls. You’ll never guess what I was doing today at work. Cindy called me into her office to measure our new skull shaped swvarski crystal bikini tattoo. She had me and my co-worker standing in a line with the print-out of the design held over our bikini area to see what the perfect size was!!

We all could not stop laughing. The new shape is actually really cool; it’s an outline of a scull and cross bones. We have tons of other shapes too. We call them our completely bare with a flair. It’s a really fun thing to do for that special someone for a birthday, an anniversary, or a Thursday. What is the strangest thing your boss has asked you to do?
